TOWER of
the thirteenth century built for the Anguillara family
PALAZZETTO
(small palace) built in 1455 for Count Everso II Anguillara
It was
badly damaged by the earthquake of 1542
Restored in
1893/1902 by Augusto Fallani (1842/1930) who
incorporated architectural remains in the walls and the Anguillara crest with
two crossed eels
Since 1914
it houses the CASA DI DANTE, institution promoting Dante Alighieri's studies
with a specialized library
