CAPIZUCCHI PALACE

PALAZZO CAPIZUCCHI
1580 maybe Giacomo Della Porta (1533/1602) for Pietro and Marcello Capizucchi using and incorporating fifteenth century buildings, which in turn had been built by reusing ancient Roman buildings
Modified 1672/74 maybe by Mattia De Rossi (1637/95)
When the Capizucchi family became extinct in 1813 it passed to the Troili, to the Massimo and finally to the Gasparri families
It is the seat of the Irish Embassy
LIBRARY OF THE ITALIAN-FRENCH RESEARCH CENTRE GUILLAUME APOLLINAIRE
It was given in 1995 to the University Roma Tre allowing the library to be a part of the Centro d'Ateneo di Studi Italo-Francesi (University Centre for Italian-French Studies)
In 1999 the library was renamed Guillaume Apollinaire Library to pay homage to the only French writer born in Rome
