seat of the president of the hospital who had the title of Commander
Since 1941
the palace housed the Lancisiana Academy, founded in 1715 by Giovanni
Maria Lancisi, doctor of Innocent XI Odescalchi (1676/89), to promote
scientific progress in the medical field
