Severian period (193/235). 88 x 75 m (288 x 252 feet)
Perhaps the private amphitheater of the PALATIUM SESSORIANUM (maybe from sedeo, living room), later incorporated in the Aurelian Walls
In mid-1500 the two upper orders were destroyed and only the first remains
From the amphitheater a grand CORRIDOR 300 m (985 feet) long and 14 m (46 feet) wide began along the great hall (now the Basilica of Santa Croce) ending up at the CIRCO DI VARIANO
