St. MARY OF MOUNT CARMEL AT THE THREE FOUNTAINS

S. MARIA DEL CARMINE ALLE TRE CANNELLE
1605/25 as the Oratorio della Confraternita del Carmine (Oratory of the Confraternity of Mount Carmel) for Cardinal Odoardo Farnese
1724/33 transformed and enlarged by Giacomo Cioli (?/1734)
Restored in 1775 after a fire in 1772 destroyed the interior of the church
The urban setting of the church was completely altered after the demolitions for the construction of Via IV Novembre began in 1875. Originally the church was on a larger square and the buildings surrounding it were lower
